Return Policy

At Local European, we maintain strict quality and fulfillment standards to ensure every order is handled with care and precision.

By placing an order with us, you agree to the terms outlined in this Return Policy.

1. Return Eligibility

Eligible items may be returned within 7 days of confirmed delivery.

Approved returns are eligible for store credit only. Refunds to the original payment method are not provided unless required by applicable law.

Store credit is issued through Shopify account balance and does not expire.

2. Return Conditions

To qualify for return approval, all items must be:

  • Unworn
  • Unwashed
  • Unused
  • In original condition
  • With original tags attached
  • In original packaging
  • Free of perfume, deodorant, makeup, stains, or odors

All returns are subject to inspection and approval at the sole discretion of Local European.

3. Final Sale Items

The following items are considered final sale and are not eligible for return, exchange, or store credit:

  • Items marked Final Sale
  • Swimwear
  • Underwear
  • Earrings and certain accessories
  • Pre-order items
  • Gift cards

No exceptions will be made for final sale merchandise.

4. Exchanges

Local European does not offer direct exchanges.

Customers wishing to obtain a different size, color, or product must:

  • Submit an approved return request (if eligible)
  • Receive store credit
  • Place a new order separately

5. Return Request Process

All return requests must be submitted through our official return portal:

Unauthorized returns sent without approval may be refused or returned to sender at the customer’s expense.

Return instructions and the return shipping address will be provided through the return portal once the request is approved.

6. Return Shipping

Customers are fully responsible for all return shipping costs.

For international returns, customers are also responsible for:

  • Customs declarations
  • Duties and taxes
  • Brokerage fees
  • Carrier fees

To avoid customs charges on returned merchandise, international customers must declare the shipment as:

Failure to properly declare returned merchandise may result in customs fees being deducted from any approved store credit.

7. Lost Return Packages

If a return shipment is lost in transit, customers must contact Local European for further direction.

We strongly recommend using a tracked and insured shipping method for all returns.

Local European is not responsible for return packages lost, delayed, or damaged during transit.

8. Rejected Returns

Any item returned that does not meet our return requirements may be rejected.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Worn merchandise
  • Damaged merchandise
  • Late returns
  • Items missing tags
  • Unauthorized returns
  • Items with stains, odors, or cosmetic marks

Rejected items may be shipped back to the customer at the customer’s expense.

9. Damaged or Incorrect Items

If you receive a damaged or incorrect item, you must contact us within 7 days of delivery.

Your email must include:

  • Your order number
  • Clear photos of the item
  • Clear photos of the packaging

If approved, Local European may offer:

  • A replacement item (subject to inventory availability)
  • Store credit excluding shipping costs

10. Refused Deliveries & Return-to-Sender Shipments

Orders refused by the customer or returned to sender due to:

  • Failure to pay customs duties
  • Incorrect address information
  • Failed delivery attempts
  • Unclaimed shipments

may incur:

  • Return shipping fees
  • Carrier penalties
  • Customs charges
  • Original shipping charges

If approved, any compensation will be issued as store credit only after applicable fees have been deducted.

11. Excessive Returns & Abuse Prevention

Local European reserves the right to refuse returns, restrict accounts, cancel future orders, or deny service in cases involving:

  • Excessive returns
  • Wardrobing or use-and-return behavior
  • Suspicious activity
  • Fraudulent claims
  • Chargeback abuse
  • Policy manipulation

Any abuse of our return system may result in permanent account restrictions.

12. Brand Discretion

All return approvals, store credit determinations, and policy interpretations remain at the sole discretion of Local European.

We reserve the right to refuse any return that does not comply with this policy.

13. Policy Updates

Local European reserves the right to modify this Return Policy at any time without prior notice.

Changes become effective immediately upon posting to the website.

Continued use of our website and services constitutes acceptance of any revised terms.
